After helping many of Chicago’s most sophisticated developers and investors for nearly 20 years, Mike’s ability to negotiate and seek creative solutions are second to none. Since first getting licensed in 2001 he has sold in excess of 900 units in all price points ranging up to $18M. As a former founder of the boutique River North brokerage firm Atland Realty, and longtime top producer at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, Mike has established himself as a true professional in the Chicago real estate market. Atland was a highly diverse firm operating in many aspects of the industry: residential sales, new construction, commercial and industrial, as well as land acquisition, and multi-family investments. In 2008 Mike made the decision to merge the firm into Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty and re-direct the team’s focus to their core business: residential sales. This includes individual buyers & sellers, multi-family investment properties, as well as builder representation and the development of new construction communities. He continues to represent many individual buyers, sellers, and investors. In addition, he focuses on land acquisition for builders, feasibility assessments, and the marketing of the teams varied developments. Mike puts it best by stating “Anyone can unlock a door for you but when you operate at the industry’s highest level, it’s a completely different experience”.
Awards: Mike’s greatest honor to date has been the “Huzenis Award” for representing outstanding ethics and integrity in the industry. This is a blind vote by peers with only ONE recipient each year. He is also ranked as a Chicago Association of Realtors “Top Producer” each year and is often in the “Top 1%” of all Chicagoland agents. He is consistently ranked at the top of Jameson Sotheby’s agents as well.
Professional Standards: For years Mike sat on the Professional Standards Board for the Chicago Association of Realtors. This is the self governing board that monitors ethical and commission related grievances between agents and members of the public. It further illustrates his commitment to the industry, his peers, and clients.
